2020 season programme, premiered on September 18th and 19th, 2020, at Teatro Municipal Joaquim Benite, Almada, on the occasion of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Companhia de Dança de Almada.
"A Quiet Moment" brings to the stage a retelling of Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho", casting a contemporary eye, to this historical object. It proposes a dialectical exploration between present and past, looking at what is undeniably one of cinema's great masterpieces. The notion of suspense is one of the main concepts explored, but also irony and meta-drama, as we follow the dancer becoming an actor, and the actor becoming a character, on what is simultaneously a stage, a set, and a film.
